Obituary

Mrs. Margaret Becker, 91, of 605 S. Leebrick Street, a native of German, died at 10 am Wednesday in Burlington hospital after being ill since Dec. 18. Born Feb 17, 1859, Mrs. Becker came to the United States and Burlington at the age of 13 with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. George Horn. She was married in 1881, in Des Moines county, to Henry Becker, who died in 1945.
Mrs. Becker was a member of First Methodist church and its Ladies Aid.
Surviving are 2 sons, John Becker, Mt. Union, and Harry Becker, Rock Island, Ill.; 5 daughters, Amelia Becker, Mt. Union, Laura Becker, Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Ada Lemon, New London, Mrs. Otis Gesling, Burlington, and Mrs. Esther Moon, Calvin, Pa.; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Four brothers and 2 sisters are dead.
The body is at Burnett Wallen Funeral home.
Funeral will be at 1 PM Saturday in First Methodist church. Burial will be in the Aspen Grove Cemetery. The body will be taken from Burnett Wallen funeral home at 10 AM Saturday to the church where it will lie in state until the services.
