Obituary
Amelia Becker, 78, of Mt. Pleasant died at the Memorial hospital Tuesday night after a lingering illness.
She was born December 2, 1883, in Des Moines County, the daughter of Henry and Margaret Becker.
She was a member of the Canaan Methodist Church.
Surviving are a brother John and his children, Horace, Willis, Wilbur, and Ethel, with whom she made her home for over 40 years; Harry of Fayetteville, Ark.: four sisters, Laura Becker and Ruth Gesling of Burlington, Ada Lemon of New London, Esther Moon of Mt. Union, Penn.; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 23, at 1:30 pm at RK Crane Funeral home. Rev. Roy Hoover, pastor of the Canaan Methodist Church, assisted by Rev. Thomas Hotel, pastor of the Prairie Gem Church will officiate.
Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at Burlington.
The family will receive friends at the RK Crane Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7 to 8:30 pm.
