Michael "Moby" Conor, 55, of Burlington, died on Monday, September 11, 2017, at his home in Burlington.
Born September 5, 1962, in Burlington, he was the son of Linda Kay Herman Muir.
He worked at Wal-Mart for 11 years as a cart pusher.
He graduated from Burlington High School in 1981.
Michael was the Troop committee chairman for Boy Scout Troop 15. He was a medicine man in the Tribe of the Silver Tomahawk Honor Camping Society. He enjoyed attending summer camp and the Thanksgiving camp-out. Michael was very helpful, he loved being a part of the scouting family. He loved to ride his bike; was an avid Cubs fan; and loved his cat Whiskers. Everybody loved Mike.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Linda Kay and Vancel R. Muir of Burlington; one brother, Gary Conor of Burlington; one sister, Kelly (Terry) Baumer of Davenport; and his special friend Julie Chubb of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandmother.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Mr. Conor will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Hermansen officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Troop 15, Hope Haven, PAW Animal Shelter, and The Crayon Project.
