Mrs. Emma Melcher Beck, the wife of Eustachius Beck, died at her home, 109 South Seventh Street, Burlington, at one o’clock this morning, after a long illness. Mrs. Beck was born Jan. 30, 1854, near Lowell, Iowa. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother. Two children died in infancy. The surviving children are Edward B., of Mt. Pleasant, and Miss Edith Beck, or Albuquerque, N. M., and Misses Birdie and Mildred Beck, of Burlington. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
