Baron Laubenfels, 86, of Englewood, Fla., formerly of Burlington, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1989,, at his home. Born Feb. 2, 1903, he was the son of Gustov and Bertha Jericho Laubenfels. He married Myrtle Ogren. He retired as an assistant chief engineer of the Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a member of the Patriot Masonic Lodge Np. 650, the Aurora Chapter No. 22 Masonic Lodge, Association of Burlington Railroad Veterans and Burlington Leisure Club of Chicago. Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Helen Graves of Englewood, Fla; and two grand-children. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Prugh's Chapel. A Masonic service by Patriot Lodge No. 650 AF&AM will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Prugh's Chapel. A graveside service for Mr. Laubenfels will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. William S. Trump Jr. officiating. A memorial has been established for the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital.
