Obituary

Mrs. Antonia Beck, 84, 2115 S. Main St, widow of the late Phillip Beck, a well-known resident of Burlington, died last night at Burlington hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in Germany on Sept. 17, 1855, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Bruns, early settlers of Burlington, and lived in this community for over 60 years. During her earlier life, she was an active member of St. Luke’s church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred Crew of Los Angeles, Cal.; one sister, Mrs. Louise Gerts and two brothers, George and Herman Bruns of Anaheim, Cal.; one brother, Gus Bruns of Santa Anna, Cal. Two nieces, Mrs. Ben Samuelson of Burlington and Mrs. Laura Packenham of Monmouth, Ill., also survive.
Her husband preceded her in death five years ago. One daughter died in infancy and two sisters and one brother also preceded her in death.
The body was removed to Prugh’s chapel. Funeral services will be held in Prugh's Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Friends are invited. Interment will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
