Obituary
Mrs. Birdie Duerr, 83, a resident of St. Francis hospital the past four years, died there Tuesday morning after an extended illness. She was born in Burlington April 6, 1878, the daughter of Mathias and Elizabeth Seitz Dear, and was married to Raymond Duerr here on Jan. 25, 1922. He served as superintendent of Aspen Grove cemetery and died here in 1947. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran church and the church missionary society and Ladies Aid and taught Sunday school for many years. Surviving are an uncle, Henry Seitz of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews. A sister is dead. Services will be in Prugh's chapel Thursday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Earl Meissner officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery,
