John David Beason, died at the residence of Mrs. Nellie Freytag and her nephew, Jack Breuer, in Benton township Friday at 5:30 pm, after a five months illness. He had made his home there for 11 years.
He was born in Clinton, Mo., on April 30, 1917, the son of Charles and Esta Long Beason. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Church of Flint River township and the Eagles lodge. He was unmarried.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Beason, Washington, Ia.; two brothers, George and Charles of Burlington; four sisters, Rosa of Burlington, Marguerite, Marian, and Mrs. Delmar Keller, Washington, Ia.: his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. JB Beason, Clinton, Mo.
Funeral services will be held in Prugh’s chapel at noon Sunday. Dr. JH Buescher will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
