Mr. Henry M. Sutter, 74, of 1811 S. Main, retired Burlington railroad employe, died Wednesday night in Mercy hospital. He was born here Nov, 19, 1888, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Meinrad Sutter, and had not married. Mr. Sutter was a veteran of World War I Army service and was a member of Bethany Lutheran church. He was a 50-year member of Woodmen of the World, and was a member of the Burlington Relief Corps, America Legion Post 52, Malta Lodge 318 AF and AM, Kaaba Temple and Zarephath Consistory of Davenport, St. Omer Commandery 15, Royal Arch Masons Chapter 1, the White Shrine and the Burlington Railroad Veterans Assn., and was a past worthy patron of E.C. Blackmar Chapter 306 of O.E.S. A sister, Clara M. Sutter, of Burlington, survives. A brother is dead. Services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in Bethany Lutheran church, the Rev. Earl H. Meissner officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove. Malta Lodge 318 will conduct services Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the Wallen-Nelson chapel. The body will be taken to the church Saturday.
