Mrs. Jessie Beard, 2535 Mt. Pleasant St, wife of Dr. R.V. Beard, died in Mercy hospital Saturday at 3:23 pm after an extended illness.
She was born in Cedar Rapids Aug. 25, 1887, the daughter of Richar and Cora Hunt, and had resided here for 25 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, West Burlington.
Surviving are her husband; 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Richard Hunt Jr., Clinton; Donald Hunt, Mrs. William Campbell, and Mrs. Homer Kithcart, all of Belle Plaine, Ia., and Mrs. Robert Wolf of this city.
Funeral services will be held in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, West Burlington, Tuesday at 9 am. The cortege will leave Prugh’s chapel at 8:45 am. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The rosary will be recited in Prugh’s chapel Monday at 8 pm. Catholic Women’s league will recite the rosary at this time.
