Obituary
Mrs. Clara VanLoon Beard, 91, of 1018 N. Seventh St., died at 12:20 pm today in a nursing home at 813 S. Sixth street after an extended illness.
She was born July 10, 1860, the daughter of Myron and Jan Clark VanLoon, and was married October 12, 1979, to Jacob S. Beard, who died in April of 1940.
Surviving are 2 sons, Dr. Ralph Beard and Frank Beard, both of Burlington; and 3 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday, in Prugh's chapel. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
