Obituary
George Francis Fleming, 68, of 1600 Summer street, died Wednesday at 11:55 p.m. in Mercy hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Burlington, Nov. 9, 1880, the son of Thomas and Julia Burns Fleming. His wife, Margaret Steyh Fleming, is dead. He was a retired switch tender for the CB&Q railroad, a member of St. John's Catholic church and Knights of Columbus. Surviving are 2 sons, Glenn, of Burlington and Verne of Oswego, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Frances Seaberg, of Burlington; 2 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Birdie Swain, of Endwell, N.Y. Services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in St. John's church. The cortege will leave Prugh's chapel at 8:45. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. Rosary will be recited in Prugh's chapel Friday at 7:30 p.m. by Knights of Columbus and friends.
