Edwin Hager Carpenter died Thursday, Nov. 6, at his home in Alhambra, Calif. He was 77 years old. Carpenter was the second son of E.H. and Alice Dunham Carpenter, and was born in Burlington on Oct. 8, 1881. His father was a pioneer Burlington jeweler. Surviving are the widow; a son, Edward Hager Carpenter III State Historical Society San Francisco, and two nieces. Mrs. Frances Zimmer, Monmouth, Ill., and Mrs. John Bittersweet place, Burlington. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
