Obituary
Calm and contented, with his last wish gratified, James C. Brooks peacefully breathed his last at 2:30 this morning at the Lasalle residence on Madison Avenue.
In company with his wife and Mr. Harry Brooks, Mr. Brooks was brought to this city Sunday. He was suffering from stomach trouble, and knowing that he had but a few days to live, the last wish of Mr. Brooks to die in his brother’s house in this city was faithfully executed.
The deceased was seventy-three years of age and was born in Covington, New York. He leaves a widow but no children. He was a brother of the late Frank Brooks. His home was in Hamilton, Missouri, where he was a retired farmer. The funeral will be held next Sunday afternoon, and the remains will be interred in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
