Carolyn Watson, 57, of Burlington, died at 10:55 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2007, at Hospice House in West Burlington. Born June 29, 1950, in Luxora, Ark., she was the daughter of James Eddie and Catherine Belton Cooper. On October 1, 1971, she married Nathanial Watson in Luxora. Mrs. Watson worked at IAAP. She was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist Faith, Zion Chapel. She wnjoyed listening to blues music and fishing. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sonya Severado and Latoya Watson, both of Burlington; two sons, Derrick Watson and Nathanial Watson, III both of Burlington; two step- daughters, Mickey Bryson of Burlington and Brenda Johnson of Osceola, Ark.; 13 grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren; six sisters, Floria Williams and Diane Cooper, both of Burlington, Debra Cooper and Louise Cooper, both of Chicago, Heolvis Thomas of St. Louis and Terri Mae Cooper of Arkansas; three brothers, Albert Henderson and George Cooper, both of St. Louis, and John Cooper of Chicago; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and one granddaughter. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington, where the family will receive friends. The funeral for Mrs. Watson will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Freddie Starling officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington.
