Carl H. Carlgren, for many years a contractor and carpenter in Burlington, died yesterday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock at his home, 1310 Summer street. he had been ill only a short time. Mr. Carlgren had lived in Burlington since 1885. he was born in Sweden, January 23, 1867, and upon coming to America in 1884 he went to Portland, Ore. The following year he came to this city to make his home. He was a member of the Woodlawn Avenue Baptist church and of the Tribe of Ben Hur. He was married here in 1886 to Mrs. Ida A. Wies, who died in 1912, and in 1925 was united in marriage with Miss Mary Sigworts of Kahoka, Mo., who survives with a son, Elmer C. Carlgren of Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. F.G. Walker of Burlington, and Mrs. K.E. Sechier of Pittsburgh, Pa., and a granddaughter, Miss Lucille D. Kopp of Pittsburgh. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home in charge of the Rev. Mr. Oberg. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
