William Lee Campbell, 84, of 1336 Garnet, died in Park Manor nursing home at 5:35 a.m. Friday, March 12. The son of Edward and Mary Chandler Campbell, he was born Nov. 22, 1891, at Mt. Pleasant. He married Ruth Kiesling July 28, 1942, at Bethany, Mo. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, the VFW, a 50-year member of the Amercian Legion, and of the Masonic lodge at New London. He was a retired Iowa Army Ammunition Plant guard, and an Army veteran of WWI. The wife survives. Funeral: 1:30 Monday, Prugh's Chapel, Aspen Grove cemetery.
