Mildred B. Carl, 84, of Omaha, Neb., and formerly of Burlington, died Sunday, May 27, 1990, at Midland Community Hospital, Omaha. Born Dec. 23, 1905, at Fairfield, she was the daughter of Owen and Lenora Roberson Potts. She married Lemuel W. Carl on Sept. 28, 1926, in Keosauqua. he died Dec.6, 1964. She was a cosmetology instructor at Burlington Beauty Academy for 27 years. She was a member of First Christian Church. Surviving are a brother, Roy Potts, Eldon; a sister, Pauline Orman, Rochelle, Ill.; two grand-children, Clarence E. Thacker, Burlington, and Connie R. Cornic, Omaha, Neb.; and two step grandchildren, David E. Thacker, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Linda J. Kokjohn, Independence, four great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Lunning Chapel. The service for Mrs. Carl will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Lunning Chapel with Dr. Andrew Pate officiating. Burial will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
