Mrs. Mathilde Campbell, 71, of Burlington, widow of Dr. B.F. Campbell, died Thursday at 10 p.m. at the home of a nephew Verne Fleming, at Oswego, Ill. She had been ill for some time and had been at the home of her nephew for about 2 months. She was born in Burlington, Dec. 16, 1876, the daughter of William and Christine Pfeiff Campbell died Dec. 31, 1946. She was an active worker in the First Congregational church and was a member of the Eastern Star. A number of nieces and nephews survive. Three sisters and a brother are dead. The body will be brought to the Burnett-Wallen funeral home Saturday evening.
