Obituary
Mrs. Lena Bauer died at 713 South Central Avenue, last Sunday morning, after a brief illness. She was born in Bavaria, German, in 1887, and came to this country with her parents in 1844. They came to Burlington in 1857, and this city remained their home. The husband, George Bauer, a faithful Burlington route foreman, passed away in 1893. Mrs. Bauer is mourned by her son JH Bauer, and other relatives and many friends. The funeral will be held from Unterkircher’s chapel at 2 o’clock this afternoon (Tuesday), with interment at Aspen Grove cemetery.
