Obituary

Henry H Bauer of this city passed away this morning at the Burlington hospital. The deceased had only been a patient in the that institution a week, being the victim of a bad case of blood poisoning. He was am expert bridge worker and his last employment was near Dallas, Texas. In some manner or another, he poisoned his arm and his case became so serious that he was compelled to go to a hospital in Dallas, where he underwent an operation. The surgeons were either careless or incompetent and instead of being benefited, he got worse and came home. Unfortunately, the poison had circulated so thoroughly through his system that there were scant hopes of saving his life. The best of medical skill was employed, but all efforts were in vain.
Henry Bauer was born and reared in this city. He was thirty years of age and was a young man of many excellent characteristics. He possessed an industrious disposition and always was a hard worker. His hundreds of friends will be grieved to learn of his demise. His parents reside on Virginia Street in this city. Notices of the funeral will be given later.
The funeral of Henry Bauer will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock from the residence of his father, John N. Bauer on Virginia avenue. Friends are invited to attend.
