Fred Campbell, 55, of 229 S. 4th street, died Monday at 8:45 a.m., at Oakdale sanatorium after an illness of 6 weeks. he was born in Peoria, Jan. 20, 1892, and had lived in Burlington for 44 years. he was employed by the CB&Q as a bridge and building crewman, was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Railroad Vets and Burlington Gym association. Surviving are 3 brothers, Delbert , Roy and Charles, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Lloyd, all of Burlington. The body was taken to Giles funeral home.
