Isabel E. Cargill, 95, of Burlington Care Center, Burlington, formerly of 3075 Sunnyside Ave., died at 9:24 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 1998, at the care center. Born Aug. 21, 1902, in Waukesha, Wis., she was the daughter of Michael and Helen Dagelen Edenharder. On March 1, 1954, she married Robert M. Cargill in Burlington. He died July 13, 1977. Mrs. Cargill worked at Boston Store in Milwaukee, Wis., for 28 years before coming to Burlington. She was a homemaker. She was a member of American Association of Retired Persons, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Burlington Senior Citizens, National Senior Citizens and First United Methodist Church of Burlington. She loved to sew, cook, crochet and take bus trips with her husband. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Vina Cargill of Burlington; four nieces; two nephews; and a longtime friend, Wanda George of Burlington. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel. The graveside funeral for Mrs. Cargill will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington, with the Rev. Dennis Tevis officiating. Memorials have been established to First United Methodist Church and Thermal Imaging System at Burlington Fire Department.
