Obituary
Edward Bauer, 36, of route 2, Burlington, died in Burlington hospital at 10 o’clock this morning, after a week’s illness.
Mr. Bauer was born Aug. 30, 1897, in Flint River township, but lived in Union township since he was two years of age. He was a member of St. Luke’s Evangelical Church of Burlington and the Moose Lodge and was on the Union Township school board.
Mr. Bauer’s home was on the Kassel road, where he had famed for some time. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bauer, and his mother is still living in Burlington. He was married six years ago to Blanche Fletcher, who survives him.
In addition, he is survived by three brothers, Louis on the old Bauer home place near here and Carl and John of Chicago, and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Danielson of Fairfield and Miss Elsie Bauer, who lives with her mother here. His father died in 1927.
The body was taken to the Burlett-Wallen funeral home pending arrangements.
Funeral services will be held in St. Luke’s Evangelical church Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock, preceded by short services at the home of his mother, Mrs. John A. Bauer, 1011 South Twelfth street, with burial in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
