Fred Bates, 22-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bates, 2033 Des Moines Street died suddenly in Kansas City at 9:30 o’clock last night, following a heart attack with which he was stricken Monday. He had gone to Kansas City Sunday night on a visit.
He was born in Burlington, September 2, 1905, and attended the public school of this city. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bates.
Funeral services for Mr. Bates will be held from Prugh’s Chapel, Saturday afternoon at 2:00. Friends are invited. Interment in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Rev. Robt. Neumann will officiate.
