Wayne Basquin, 36, LaVeine’s Trailer Court, West Burlington died Thursday at Burlington hospital after a long illness.
Basquin, a furnace repairman, was born June 17, 1922, at Strawberry Point, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Basquin. He was married in 1948 to Barbara Orton.
Surviving are his wife, three children, Lillian, Wayne Eugene, and Shirley Jean, all at home; his mother; two brothers, Raymond and Ralph, both of Burlington; three sisters, Mrs. Alta Mae Kendall, Cheyenne, Wyo.; Mrs. Myrtle Denning, Donnellson; and Mrs. Dorothy Ella Cavender, Burlington, and a number of nieces and nephews.
His father and one brother died previously.
Funeral will be held in Prugh’s Chapel, Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock. Rev. Mr. John Groen will officiate. Interment, with military rites at the graveside, will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends in Prugh’s Chapel Sunday evening from 7:30 until 9: o’clock.
