Obituary

Mrs. Esther Callantine, the wife of Rev. William Callantyne, pastor of the South Hill Free Methodist church, passed away this morning at her home, 914 South Tenth street, after a long illness. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George mcKracken, being born in Pennsylvania in 1842. Being first married to Moses Miller, who died a number of years ago, seven children were born to the union. December 22, 1894, she was united in marriage to Rev. William Callantine. Last September Rev. and Mrs. Callantine moved to Burlington from Des Moines being assigned to the South Hill Free Methodist church. The congregation and friends deeply feel their loss and sympathize with Rev. Callantine in this great affliction. Surviving are the husband and three children by the previous marriage: William L. Miller of Carterville, Mo., George M. and Harry M. Miller of Des Moines. The funeral will be held at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning from the church, corner of Tenth and Pine streets.
