Charles W. Calhoun, a native of Burlington but of late years a resident of Kansas City, Mo., died Sunday at his home in Kansas City. The body arrived in Burlington last night for burial, but arrangements for the services have not been completed.Mr. Calhoun was born in Burlington on October 18, 1868 and grew to manhood here, entering the barber trade. For some time he worked in Burlington, but at the age of 28 years he moved to Kansas City, where he had since made his home. On September 12, 1892, he was married to Miss Nellie Gantz of Burlington, Surviving are his widow, one son, Charles, of Des Moines, Ia., and three sisters, Mrs. Dan Hertzler and Miss Eva Calhoun of Burlington and Mrs. Philip Smith of Des Moines.
