Services for Burrell J. Barton, 50, 1807 Edwards, who died suddenly of a heart attack Monday at 11:33 am, will be held Wednesday at 2 pm from the Giles funeral home. Dr. George Hunt will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. The family will be at the Funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm.
He was born April 2, 1905, at Roscoe, Ia., the son of J. Henry and Pearl Cline Barton. Prior to moving to Burlington, he had farmland in the Roscoe area. Sept 5, 1944, he married the former Dorothy Lathan here.
He was a veteran of WWII and a member of the Yarmouth, Iowa Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Pearl a Barton, of Burlington; and one sister, L. Ruth Barton, Burlington. His father and two brothers are dead.
