Linda Diane Reid, 68, of Burlington, died at 12:50 PM Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born May 13, 1947, in Burlington she was the daughter of Jack John and Marguerite Helen Powell Reid.
She graduated with the Burlington High School class of 1965, Burlington Junior College in 1967, and attended the University of Iowa for one year.
She was of the Presbyterian Faith. She was an avid New York Yankee and Green Bay Packer Fan. She was known to be a practical joker, enjoyed playing cards, enjoyed trapshooting and bowling in her youth and was passionate about the welfare of animals.
Survivors include one brother, Jack J Reid of Galesburg, IL, two aunts, several cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her two corgi's.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home and Crematory.
The memorial service for Ms. Reid will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home & Crematory with Chaplain Randy Gearhart officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date.
