Mrs. Ella Hodgen Cade, 77, of 1825 Summer street, died Wednesday night in Burlington hospital after an illness of 3 months. She was born Jan.8, 1872, and had lived in Burlington for 26 years. She came here from Omaha, Neb., and had lived for a time in Kansas and Missouri. In 1887, she married the late Bernett Walkden. In 1922 she married James Cade. She was a member of First Christian Church, Women's Council and Sunday school of the church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Earl Fulton of Burlington; a granddaughter, Shirley and a great granddaughter, Cathy Lynn; 2 brothers, E.R. Hodgen of Stronghurst, Ill., and Thales H. Hodgen of Omaha, N.B.; a sister, Mrs. Anna Wilson of Butler, Mo. Five brothers and 3 sisters. The body is at Burnett-Wallenn funeral home.
