Charles J. Adolphson, 77, of Mount Pleasant, died at 8:22 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at Mapleleaf Health Care Center in Mount Pleasant. Born July 26, 1923, in Winfield, he was the son of Harry and Vada Charlotte Nelson Adolphson. Mr. Adolphson was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Mount Pleasant. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and liked to listen to the games on the radio. Survivors include one sister, Darline Taylor of Mount Pleasant; five nieces; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday at Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Monday. The funeral for Mr. Adolphson will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Beatty Funeral Home, with the Rev. T. N. Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
