Mrs. Josephine Axman, 43, wife of Bernard Axman, died at her home, 1112 Spiegel street, at 4 a.m. today after a long illness. She was born in Ft. Madison, Ia., April 9, 1895, and had been a resident of Burlington since 1902. She was a member of Zion Evangelical church. Surviving besides her husband are: a daughter, Frances; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Koerner, all of Burlington, a sister, Mrs. Pauline Neufner of Des Moines, and three brothers, John and Joe Koerner of Des Moines and Carl Koerner of Whittier, Cal. Funeral services will be held at the Unterkircher funeral home at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. A.F. Koelling, pastor of Zion church.
