Thurl E. Bell, a former Burlingtonian, died at 8:45 am March 18 in Chicago. He was 52.
He was married to the former Ruby Marlette March 17, 1923, in Monmouth, Ill.,
Surviving are his widow, 4 sons, Thurl, Jr., Marvin, Robert, and James Bell, all of Chicago; one daughter, Gwendolyn of California; 2 brothers, Orville and Lloyd Bell of California; and 3 grandchildren. His parents are dead.
Services will be at 2 pm Thursday in Prugh’s chapel. Burial will be in Aspen rove Cemetery. The body arrived here this afternoon.
