Obituary

Charles J. Yackel, 1223 North Sixth street, a resident of Burlington for the past 35 years, died at his home at 8:42 o'clock this morning. Mr. Yackel was born December 14, 1871 at Ft. Madison. On May 19, 1896, he was united in marriage with Miss Lena Schadt, who with one daughter, Mrs. Ruben Sumeson and a brother, George Yackel, of Ft. Madison, survive. For the past 20 years Mr. Yackel has been in the employ of the Benner Tea company, and worked until his last sickness, which began last Tuesday. He was a member of the A.O.U.W. lodge and of the Trinity Lutheran church, and was well known to a large circle of friends in business and social circles of the city. Funeral services will be held from the residence at two o'clock Monday afternoon with interment in Aspen Grove cemetery. The remains will be taken home from Prugh's chapel Monday morning.
