Elige Barrett, 1405 Gnahn St. died at his home at 1:15 pm Tuesday. He had been in failing health for the past 5 years.
He was born in Westmorland County, VA., March 10, 1875, and on May 19, 1904, was united in marriage to Elizabeth Bauer in Burlington. He was a former boilermaker, later worked at the IOP, but for the past few years had been retired.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and a veteran of the Spanish-American war. Surviving is his widow.
Funeral services for Mr. Barrett will be held in Prugh’s Chapel, Thursday afternoon at 2:00. Dr. RR Belter will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
