John Augsburger, 54, lifelong resident of Burlington and a former machinist at the railroad shops in West Burlington, died suddenly in his home, 713 North Main street, at 8:30 o'clock this morning.Earlier in the day he had appeared in good health. He was born February 23, 1883, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Spiegel Augsburger. He married Mrs. Hattie Steinbrecher in Cedar Rapids, Ia. March 14, 1924. Surviving are his widow; six stepchildren; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Augsburger; one brother, Chelsea Augsburger. His father and one sister preceded him in death. The body was removed to Prugh's chapel and funeral arrangements will be announced later.
