Obituary

Mr. Charles Clair Camp, 83, of 406 1/2 N. Third, founder of Camp's Laundry, died Wednesday at 12:15 a.m. in Burlington hospital after an extended illness. He had been a patient at the hospital four days. He was born Dec. 1, 1880, in Portage, Wis., the son of Thomas P. and Emma J. Colladay Camp. In 1907 he moved to Reinbeck, Ia., where he married Dorothy De Wolf, on June 8, 1910. In 1924 he moved to Burlington and in 1934 founded the laundry and dry cleaning establishment here. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge of Reinbeck. Surviving are: his wife; two sons, Robert and Walter, both of Burlington; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. from Prugh's Chapel, Rev. Leonard Stark officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
