C.F. Aspelmeier, 76, of 1312 Corse street, resident of this city for over half a century, passed away in Burlington hospital Sunday morning at 6:10 o'clcok, where he had been confined for a week. he succumbed to an illness of several weeks duration. Mr. Aspelmeier was born in Germany, January 25, 1851, coming to America and direct to Burlington 69 years ago. he was married August 26, 1875, to Miss Margaret Luth, who survives him. He was a carpenter by trade and a member of the First Evangelical church. There survive, besides his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Charles P. Sourwine, one son, Will Aspelmeier, and seven grandchildren, Ralph, Elmer, Chester, Oscar, Milton, Lawrence Sourwine and Earl S. Cuddeback, all of Burlington, and one brother, Charles Aspelmeier of Mediapolis, Ia. Mrs. Clara Peters, a daughter, preceded him in death, and two other children passed away in infancy. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, 1312 Corse street, with Rev. J.H. Buescher officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
