Obituary

Mrs. Selma Augusta Ashway, 61, 117 Prospect Place, died at Burlington hospital Wednesday morning. A life resident of Burlington, she had been in failing health for several years and was admitted to the hospital 7 weeks ago. She was born in Burlington, March 23, 1887, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Peter Carlson. On March 29, 1911, she married Lewis Ashway in Burlington. Mrs. Ashway was a member of the Messiah Lutheran church, the auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and the Railroad Veterans auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, 2 brothers, Carl Carlson, Burlington, and Oscar Carlson, Gresham, Ore., and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held in Prugh's chapel Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Russell Johnson in charge. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
