Ruth M. Ashway, 91, 1812 S. Main, died Friday July 15, at her home after a brief illness. She was born Feb 13, 1892, in Galesburg, Ill., to Lewis and Christina Lay Ashway. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, a charter member of the Palestine Shrine No.11, the White Shrine of Jerusalem and a 70-year member of the E.C. Blackmar 306, Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Prugh's Chapel, the Rev. Clifford Haskings; Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for her church.
