Lewis Ashway, 1812 S. Main died in Burlington hospital Friday at 3:12 a.m. after an extended illness. He was born at Baltimore, Md., may 18, 1882, the son of Lewis and Christine Lay. he married Selma Carlson in March, 1911. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church. Malta Masonic Lodge and the B. of R.T. for 57 years. He was a retired Burlington Railway brakeman. Survivors include two brothers and a sister, Randolph Ashway, Burlington; Harry Ashway, Santa Monica, Calif.; and Miss Ruth Ashway, Burlington. Services for Lewis Ashway, who died Friday, will be held in Prugh's chapel Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Roscoe Wolvington will officiate and burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
