Lloyd Russell Asher, 62, Davenport, former Burlington resident and retired Davenport city employe, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Davenport following an extended illness. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Prugh's chapel with Rev. Delbert W. Icenogle officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. Asher was born Sept. 7, 1898, at Lomax, ill., the son of Jess and Ida McIntire Asher. Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Elmer Noren, Plymouth, Ind.; Mrs. George Haller, Gary, Ind.; Mrs. Florence Krummel, Galesburg, Ill., Mrs. Helen Conlin, Maquon, Ill., and Mrs. Lulu McKee, Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.
