George W. Aschoff passed away at his home 205 South Adams street at 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning. had been alling for some six weeks, but seemed to be improving. He spoke to his wife early and she advised him to remain in bed at least until a late hour. Shortly after she heard a fall in his room and found her husband dead on the floor. He had passed away without a struggle and without suffering, heart trouble being the cause of death. George W. Aschoff was born in Burlington December 11, 1858 and had spent practically all his days in the city. During many years he was connected with the Mathes soda water factory. His last work was as janitor in the American Ban building. He was industrious and honest and liked and trusted by all who knew him. George Aschoff is survived by his wife, a sister and three brothers towit: Mrs. Peter Mathews of Burlington; Edward Aschoff of Burlington; William Aschoff of Galesburg; and Frank Aschoff of Kansas City, and many other relatives. He will be mourned by many friends.
