Obituary
Charles M. Arnold, 78, of Des Moines county, died at 8:40 p.m. Sunday in Mercy Hospital after an extended illness. He was born Jan. 1, 1873, in Wilder, Kan., but for the last 20 years had lived in this county. He was married in 1903 at Indianola to the former Mrs. Anna Belle Hines, who died in 1945. Surviving are a brother, Emerson Arnold, Cushing Okla; a stepson C. Ed Hines, Burlington; a grandson and granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Prugh's chapel with Rev. Malcolm Ludy officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
