George G. Callaway, 57, of 1141 Washington St., died 1:15 a.m. Monday, Aug.31, 1987 at Burlington Medical Center. Born March 14, 1930 in Edina, Mo., he was the son of Garten and Emma Callaway. he married Alberta May Rothlauf May 25, 1957, in Burlington. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Christine Craig, Burlington, and Carol Scott, Van Buren, Ark.; one son, Brian Callaway, Burlington; three grandchildren; and four cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday with the rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Prugh's Chapel. The service for Mr. Callaway will be 4 p.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Phillips officiating. A graveside committal services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
