Obituary
Miss Minnie Dows Barnes, daughter of Mrs. Sarah E. Jaggar, arrived from Denver where death occurred Thursday, October 1, after a lingering struggle with tuberculosis.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 this afternoon in the First Presbyterian Church, Rev. Dr. McClintock, assisted by Rev. Dr. Sutherland, officiating. Interment will follow in Aspen Grove.
In the city to attend the obsequies are Hon. SL Dows and Miss HenriettaDows, of Cedar Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Thaw, of Pittsburg, Colo., and Mrs. Wm. Dows, of Cedar Rapids.
The death of this sweet young girl cuts short a life that gave promise of much that was good. She was beloved by all who enjoyed her acquaintance and her death is greatly deplored. She was born in Farmington, IA March 12, 1872.
