Services for Mrs. Mildred J. Archer, 83, of 2740 McKim Rd., Inperial, Calif., who died Sunday, Feb. 12, at El Centro, Calif., will be 7 p.m., Thursday, Sheagren funeral home, Dr. Robert V. Gildner; Aspen Grove cemetery. She was born June 29, 1894, at Hesper, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nelson. She graduated from Upper Iowa university and taught in Winneshiek, Fayette, Des Moines and Lee counties. She married Guy C. Archer, July 29, 1914, at Decorah; he died earlier. A Methodist, she was employed by W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co., Ft. Madison, from 1925 until 1960, when she retired. Surviving; Four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
