Marceline Klein Byrne, 92, of 2414 S. Main St., Burlington, died at 3:20 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 1995 at St. Francis Continuation Care Center. Born Nov. 27, 1902, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John and Katherine Gerber Klein. She married Richard Ita on July 14, 1927, in Burlington. He died in May 1941. She later married Roy Ryrne on March 21, 1968, in Burlington. He died Aug. 29, 1984. Mrs. Byrne taught at Perkins School for four years. She was clerk of Des Moines County Court from 1948 to 1968. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a charter member and past president of the Altrussa Club. Survivors include one stepson, Edward Byrne of Diamond City, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Patricia short of Mediapolis; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Following a rosary at 7 p.m. today in Prugh's Chapel, the family will receive friends until 8:30 p.m.The funeral for Mrs. Byrne will be 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Thomas L. Parlette officiating, Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial to St. Francis Continuation Care Center.
