A native of Burlington, Mrs. Flora Jeanette Appel died at Burlington hospital at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday. She had been at the hospital 5 weeks. The daughter of Ferdinand and Elizabeth Ebner, she was born Jan. 28, 1862. She and Velt Appel were married here July 2, 1912. She was a member of First Methodist church, Order of the Eastern Star, Ruth Rebekah lodge and of the Hawkeye Natives society. Surviving are a brother, Charles F. Ebner of Burlington; a stepson, Walter V. Appel of Burlington and 2 step-daughters, Mrs. James Kammith of Omaha and Mrs. Ed Lawrence of Los Angeles. Her husband is dead.
Services will be held at Prughs chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday with interment in Aspen Grove cemetery.
